It’s time for the Big BIG BIG Sur Fashion Show!!!
Once a year, artists come out of the woodwork and into the woods to create a night of recycled fashion magic! The one rule: Every model in the show must wear a costume made ONLY of recycled materials. The fashion show has featured costumes made of everything from balloons to beers cans, playing cards to old photographs.
Under the Big Top, our 2012 theme, will offer circus fashion and costumes, and will be the Cat’s Meow’s first appearance in the show! So Order your tickets now!

This May 12, from 6pm – 9pm, the National Steinbeck Center in Salinas will be hosting a wine-tasting event to benefit the Peacock Acres Youth Foster Program.

Finally! The night you’ve ALL been waiting for! We here at the Cat’s Meow are proud to present The Midnight Blitz!
That’s right folks, this Saturday night our doors are open until midnight for our Grand Opening Celebration, a fun filled evening of food, drink, and art!
The night will provide a variety of hors d’oeuvres catered by Trailside Cafe, and a brand new beer by Vinyl Lyon Brewery which you, yes YOU, will be the first to taste! Music will be provided by DJ artists RS2, Coco, and the brew master himself, Dread Ramas! Christine Holding and fellow local photographers will have a photo booth set up for picture memorabilia. And no party would be complete without a few, action-packed rounds of Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots!
This will also be our first Art Show, featuring original work provided by our good friends at The Alternative Cafe!
Doors open at 8pm! There will be no cover charge, but this will be a 21 and up event, so bring your ID!
